Thursday

Have you noticed? The trees along the Jalan Tun Jugah has been chopped off. I missed them. I used to see those tall trees on my way to school. I saw them everyday until yesterday. I realized that they were gone....forever. What the heck the goverment is talking about preserve the nature and I am such a big fan of this. And now you are chopping these trees off !! Within 2 days! They took so many years to grow, more than 10 years I guess and now you *** just chopped them off in just 2 DAYS!? I heard that they are going to build flyovers there. Well.... they said that so that there will be no traffic congestion after the flyovers are built. Damn lah.

I won a saguhati yesterday for an essay competition entitled " Integrasi Koperasi Sekolah dan Koperasi Dewasa Teras Kecemerlangan". Haha...got asked by teacher to write lah. Rm 10 and a certificate. :D Better than nothing. I can still buy 10 cups of ice-cream from the 4SC2's stall since one cup of ice-cream only costs RM1. Or maybe you want more, RM 1.50 is the price.

Puan Magdellene(?) went to my class today and had a talk with me. I was asked to join the Bicara Berirama..again. I said a 'yes' to teacher and she asked me to inform Sandra that she is in too. Practice starts tomorrow after break. My ass. I am going to skip lessons after break for one month's time. And not to forget, there's also practice in the afternoon, which is 1.30 pm until 4.00pm. I was thinking of visiting the library after 4pm when Adeline told me that the library closes at 4pm. =.=" So I am going to wait until 6.20pm. Wait for my mum. Then go home. The only thing I am worrying is that, can Meredith Lee cook? Haha....

*Is this the longest post eversince I started blogging? Emhh...

comment from kenny sia's blog: when pek khing chopped the trees down to build the kenyalang flyover, my heart breaks. now he breaks my heart again. for all i know, he may just chop down my neighbour's guava tree in front of our house at BDC to make the road there bigger...

in the name of development, we take out all the greens, the bushes and the shrubs. then one fine day, we wake up and decide....'we need more green lungs...more parks!...more gardens...!"

well, you air-heads in the local authorities....these trees were there. But now no more. It has taken all 30years or more to have them grow as they did. But it took you only one afternoon to take it all away. Friends from the Peninsular always commented how green and fresh kuching is...partly bcos of how these trees make them feel as they approach the city. Now, all that meets them will be concrete and pathetic looking bunga raya plants by the road side...put there for 'beautification' purposes. what bullshit!

Mind you, 10yrs down the road, don't let me hear the authorities speak of needing more green lungs, more trees more environment bull-shit cos look what you guys bloody did!

...many of us Kuchingnites are fed-up with the authorites approach to development.

chop here, chop there. i won't be suprise if one day, someone's head may well be chopped off...

yea true enough. 100% agree! i miss those trees.wonder where do the authorities send the trees to. can be considered as pembalakan haram or not? For me, the tun jugah road not so congested and yet they said it is congested. I am sure that my family do not mind to wait for our turn at the traffic lights only if the trees stay. but now..it's too late to say a thing :'(
